Overview
Drop shipping is a way for retailers to do business with a wholesale company, supplier or distributor without having to deal with the merchandise themselves. Instead, they only have to make sure that they get orders; because of its convenience it has become more and more popular and this can be proved with the number of wholesale and drop ship directories that you can find online. The one thing about online directories is that you can never be too sure of the listings that you will get. Some directories are not careful and just go on and list so long as they get paid. As a result you may end up with unreliable and old listings. This is my review of Salehoo (not Salewho) a paid wholesale and dropshipper database.
Pros
Salehoo provides retailers with an up-to-date listing that contains only legitimate wholesalers (at last count their database contains 5300 legitimate wholesalers and drop shippers). So with Salehoo you don’t have to worry about getting in touch with the dreaded “middle men” who mislead you into thinking they are wholesalers.
Salehoo also provides retailers with suppliers from different places, including China. Another great part is that if you aren’t very familiar with how to deal with such suppliers, Salehoo provides training and assistance to get your drop shipping business off the ground right. So you get more than a directory, it’s more like a complete guide to how to go about your drop shipping business. It should be noted that Salehoo also provides a listing for non-drop ship suppliers so their directory can be used by retailers who do not drop ship as well.
Cons
It is true that Salehoo does provide a wide data base of companies just as they claim. This is where the trouble may lie though, for newbies who are not quite too sure of the product or product group they want to sell, they may get overwhelmed with all the product available to them.
Do I recommend Salehoo?
If you ask me, I would definitely recommend Salehoo to all the people out there who want to start a wholesale/dropshipphing business. It will save you time, money and convenience since you won’t find yourself jumping from one website to another just to find a supplier… and with the suppliers in the Salehoo database you can be sure they are legitimate.
